Why this one
A new coil, when the rest of the system can stay
Sometimes the outdoor unit is fine and the coil is the part that failed. A pre-charged evaporator coil replaces that piece without turning the job into a whole new house of equipment. It still has to match the furnace or air handler and the condenser. A pre-charge saves a step. It does not forgive a mismatch.
Air that actually leaves the vents
A tired coil is often why the system runs and the rooms do not change. You feel it as weak airflow and a thermostat that never quite gets there. A matched coil gives the blower something to work with.
Match the cabinet you already own
Width, refrigerant, and the outdoor unit all have to agree. We do not pull a coil off a truck because the height looked close. If the furnace or the condenser is the real failure, a new coil on top of it is wasted money, and the quote will say so.
The closet goes back to being a closet
This is a shorter job than a full system when the diagnosis is honest. We swap the coil, check the drain, and prove the supply air before we leave. You should not be living around an open air handler.

Can this replace what I have now?
Often yes, if the ducts and the electrical can support the new size. That is what the first visit is for.
Do I pick the tonnage here?
You can tell us what you think you need. Andy confirms it. Ordering the wrong tonnage is an expensive mistake.
